SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

ELIGIBILITY
This exhibit is open to artists living or working within a 25-mile radius of CCAC. All fine art disciplines including installation art are encouraged for submission. Only artists 18 and older may submit works. All works must be original in concept, design and execution.

ENTRY PROCEDURE for INSTALLATION ART
Artists may enter a maximum of three proposals of installations for jury consideration. Individual artists as well as teams are encouraged to submit artwork to be displayed during the month-long exhibition. Submissions are via email to ccacgoldenticket@gmail.com  with “GOLDEN TICKET SUBMISSION” written in the subject line. There are several interior spaces and one exterior space designated for installation pieces. Artists need to indicate desired space(s) in the proposal summary.

  • JPEG/PDF Images: Please include images of the proposed artwork. These graphics can take any form—hand drawing, CAD, Illustrator, photographed model, etc. Each image of art must be labeled as follows: artist’s first name initial, last name initial, underscore, and title of work. i.e. HB_The Lonely Tree.jpeg The jpeg image size must be appropriate for viewing on a computer monitor. Up to three pages of images for each installation proposal will be accepted.
  • Word Document must be included containing contact information: the artist’s name, address, phone number (s), and email address. The same document must include for each piece: title, size, medium and price. Files needs to be labeled: Contact_ArtistName.doc
  • Proposal Summary must be in a separate word or PDF file. It must include the title of the project, and a brief description (not more than 400 words): concept, construction/installation and de-installation plan. If your piece requires special instructions before it can be displayed each day, please outline the steps a gallery attendant would have to take each day.  File needs to be labeled with Project Title and the word summary.
  • No entry fees are required for submitting installation pieces. However, selected artists are responsible for all costs: design, labor, and materials.

Online Entry checklist:

  1. JPG/PDF images of art
  2. Word Document with art descriptions and artists contact information
  3. Proposal summary

Examples of Spaces Available:

  • Front Lobby. Maximum Size 8’ x 8’. Ceiling Height 12’. Installation must be free standing and self-supported. No anchors may be installed in the floor, ceiling, or walls. Installation must not obstruct emergency fire walking exit. Installation must allow free access around the piece. When submitting for this space, please keep in mind that this is a high traffic area with many unsupervised children and adults. Keep in mind public safety, interaction and durability during construction and while on display.
  • Outdoor Entrance. No anchors may be installed in the concrete. This installation must be able to withstand the outdoor elements for the duration of the show. Must not obstruct walking path on the sidewalk, or access to front doors.
  • Lower Level Classroom. Approximate room dimensions are 31’ x 27’. Ceilings vary in height. 12 electrical outlets. Other considerations include that there is a support pole in the center of the room and that there is a fire emergency ladder attached to the wall; it cannot be removed or obstructed in accordance with fire code.
  • Many other sites are potentially available. We implore you, the artist, to come in and take a look around at the spaces in and around our historic 53,000 sq ft building.
