About the Exhibit

Karay P. Martin is an artist, a woman, and pissed off.  Usually an optimistic and cheery person, 2015-2016 left her disheartened and exhausted, so she decided to focus on making art as a way to reconcile these conflicting emotions and to reconnect with her good humor.  While processing her own reproductive health experience from 2016, Alienable emerged.  This show examines the tension between women’s rights and representation, healthcare, and the empowerment of personal narrative.
