About the Instructor: The Meeting Tree
The Meeting Tree is owned and operated by two art therapists, Amy Smethurst and Avery Blair-Wilson. When these Cincinnati natives first met, they quickly learned they had parallel lives. Amy and Avery both attended Mount Notre Dame High School and ventured to Chicago to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After marrying their partners in Kentucky, both Amy and Avery returned to Cincinnati. Despite attending the same schools, living in the same neighborhoods, they did not meet until their return to Cincinnati. When their lives finally aligned, an immediate connection grew into a deep friendship and artistic collaboration.
