Bach’s Kids with Bach and Boombox
11:15am – 12:00pm in Room 128
Bach had 20 kids, and still managed to write over 1,000 pieces of music. He must have been very busy! In this program, we’ll get to know Bach’s cello music, and learn how his active home life might actually have helped him write it. Along the way, I’ll share stories from playing at the White House, and we’ll also hear songs by James Brown, the Beastie Boys, and the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and see how all great music is put together the same way.
We’ll be hosting activities all day long. Check out the full schedule here for more details and activity locations within the building. Stop by for one performance, or stay for a day filled with FREE artistic fun!
