Gala Opening Concert
featuring Amicus Chamber PlayersThursday, October 28, 2010, 8:00-9:30 p.m.
$100 per person
Join us for an elegant evening featuring wine, hors d'oeuvres and music from Bach to Hendricks by Amicus Chamber Players. Amicus Chamber Players was formed over a decade ago by Heidi Yenney and Gerald Itzkoff. They wanted to play their way through the vast wealth of compositions written for smaller ensembles, and they wanted to play them right in their own community of Clifton as a way of both giving back and adding to the fabric of its cultural life. Gerry and Heidi invite fellow musicians, mostly from Cincinnati Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, to join them for these special musical soirées.
Come join Amicus and our Host Committee for an unforgettable evening of music and celebration!

Back to our Roots Opening
with Jake Speed & the Freddies Thursday, November 11, 2010, 8:00 - 9:30 p.m.
$25 per person
Join us for a rollicking welcome back to the auditorium! For the past eight years, Jake Speed has hitchhiked down Cincinnati's American folk, bluegrass and ragtime music highway with his award-winning band, the Freddies. Jake Speed & the Freddies are a four-piece band made out of guitar, mandolin, tenor guitar and upright bass (plus harmonica, kazoo, washboard and watering can). Their traditional and original songs leap right out of Depression-era freight trains and right into Ohio River steamboats, while their near-vaudeville-style stage shows and quick-witted charisma rope in loyal fans of new and old generations alike.

Hilarious characters, tall tales and spine-tingling stunts bring American history to life like never before. In this production, the only things taller than these tales are the giant puppets. Stories include: Johnny Appleseed, Paul Bunyan, Tailypo and Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind.
