Beginning Spanish for Kids
This is a fun, activity-based class to help kids learn and practice Spanish. Curriculum is applied through the use of age appropriate activities to maximize the assimilation of Spanish. Your child will improve his or her language skills, and more importantly, will have fun learning!! This enjoyable experience will give them the confidence to explore foreign language later in life. We recommend this class for kids ages 5-8, and parents are welcome to join their children.Ana Gallegos-Yavorsky
Ana Gallegos-Yavorsky is a native of Ecuador and has lived in Cincinnati for the last 5 years with her husband and 2 daughters. Ana has a degree in Economics. She has extensive experience teaching children in Montessori schools, teaching enrichment programs in Cincinnati Public Schools, and giving private instruction.

This course will offer the basic foundation of the Spanish language. The curriculum we use is the same offered by the Spanish government for visitors and new citizens. The class is an immersion class where the teacher will keep a majority of the class in Spanish. But don't fretit's a fun, relaxed, and inviting environment! Your Muslim Neighbors 101 Workshop
With Islam as the fastest growing religion in the United States, Muslims are your teachers, doctors, co-workers, students etc. Muslims are your neighbors. This recurring monthly workshop offers an informal venue for education on a commonly misrepresented religion and an opportunity for dialogue and questions and answers with Muslims who live, work and study here in theClifton community. Workshop registration is free and open to the public.Tala Ali
Tala Ali has grown up in the Northside and Clifton communities and is a student at Xavier University. She is an active member of the Muslim Students Association, and was a member of the XU Interfaith Cabinet for the 2010-2011 year. Tala served on the board of Council on American Islamic Relations-OH, Cincinnati Chapter for seven years, in addition to serving the Clifton Mosque communities through several committees.
Aliyah Farooki
Aliyah Farooki is a University of Cincinnati Alumna, and is pursuing her Master's at Xavier University. She was also active in Muslim Student Association and has served on outreach and community building committees in the Clifton Mosque.
*Guest speakers from the Muslim community may be featured.
