Miss Nancy’s Musikgarten: Music Makers
Mondays 1:00 – 1:45pm or Fridays 11:30am – 12:15pm
This sequential two-year program offers your child a developmentally sound approach to music literacy that builds symbolic thinking, concentration, memory and self-expression. Activities include singing, creative and structured movement, playing instruments and ensemble work, ear training and guided listening.
- Session: 14 weeks (January 12 – April 23, 2018; No class March 26 or 30)
- Class Size: Maximum 10 children
- Scholarship Program: CCAC’s scholarship program was designed to give all children the opportunity to take classes at CCAC. Scholarships are offered quarterly, with application deadlines falling one week prior to the start of each class quarter. About the Instructor: Nancy Huey
“Miss Nancy” is a professional musician and educator, specializing in voice, guitar and flute. She graduated from DePauw University with a BA in Elementary Education. Since then, she has been a classroom teacher, a music teacher, a drama director and a liturgical musician. In 2011, Miss Nancy received certification as a Musikgarten teacher and opened her private music studio. Nancy is also the mother of seven children, all of whom are musicians and music lovers!
